Thomas Bus Sales of Georgia Participates in Gwinnett County Relay for Life

The Thomas Bus Sales of Georgia team pitched in to help Gwinnett County fundraise for their Relay for Life chapter on Saturday, April 22. In addition to donating $1000, Thomas Bus and Peach State offered up brand new buses to be used in the day’s bus pull challenge that raised more than $1500 for the American Cancer Society. To round out Peach State’s involvement with this great cause, COO Ricky Brown’s band It’s All Relative provided the entertainment for the day.

The bus pull was the fundraiser’s main event. There were 15 teams of ten people, many of them cancer survivors and bus drivers. Each team lined up in front of a bus, clutching a rope attached to the bus. The team that pulled their bus 50 feet the fastest won the challenge. The top two teams received trophies and t-shirts provided by the Thomas Bus of Georgia Team.

The fun-filled day featured other games and booths from local businesses, all there to raise funds for cancer research.
