Peach State Freightliner tech wins DTNA contest

Adarryl Matthews, express assessment coordinator at Peach State Freightliner in Forest Park, Ga., has won a Snap-on toolbox in a Daimler Trucks North America (DTNA) contest promoting its Express Assessment Program.

DTNA’s parameters for the contest were simple. Technicians were asked to send DTNA a picture of technicians working in an Express Assessment bay, and answer a three-question survey on the Express Assessment program. In answering the third question — how have customers responded to the Express Assessment program? — Matthews noted that early returns have been positive, but it will take a full-scale commitment from DTNA and its dealers to maximize the program’s success.

Matthews says he was understandably excited when notified he had won.

“It feels pretty good. I know technically I won but I think of it as an actual prize for the dealership,” he says. “It gives us a chance to show the rest of the country we’re doing well.”

Matthews and Steve Plant, service manager at Peach State Freightliner, are both enjoying how Express Assessment has improved productivity in their service department.

“It’s made things more efficient for everyone,” says Plant.
